Snecma has conducted an audit of VSMPO-Avisma’s products

VSMPO-Avisma's quality management system and the corporation's products meet Snecma's requirements. During the audit, the French specialists studied the production chain in five of the production facilities belonging to the Verkhnyaya Salda Metallurgical Production Association.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that the Snecma inspectors devoted particular attention to how the technological process was monitored. They checked that the products were all labeled and the inspectors were present while coils were being calibrated on a 30,000-ton pressing machine. They also discussed with VSMPO's managers the program to certify the rods and billets that are manufactured using a skull melting technique.

Snecma's representative, Afaf Sharkun, claimed, "VSMPO-Avisma is a good supplier and we are proud to work with them. The products we buy from this corporation are key in terms of passenger safety. This is the stock for making engine parts for the Boeing 737 and A320. In addition, Snecma, in conjunction with Saturn, makes engines for the Superjet-100 regional airplane. VSMPO-Avisma supplies titanium slab and semi-finished projects for it."
