Large Investment Projects Start in Tyumen Oblast10.04.2009 — News THE TYUMEN OBLAST. A simultaneous implementation of several new investment projects will start in the Tyumen Oblast in 2009. One of the most promising projects is the construction of the Knauf Insulation heat-insulation materials plant, said Vadim Shumkov, the Director of the Department for State Support of the Entrepreneurship in the Region.A land lease agreement for the production site is planned to be signed by the end of June and the construction is scheduled to start at the end of the year. Negotiations with the Danone company to build a yoghurt factory in the Tyumen region are nearing their completion. In May 2009 the Swedish company IKEA plans to sign a land lease contract and in June it expects to be granted a license to build a furniture board production plant. Bentec GmbH Drilling & Oilfield Systems - producer of drilling equipment will open its subsidiary in the first half of the year. At present there is the first train of the Turkish Company MESA Imalat metal construction production plant already working in the Tyumen Oblast and the second train of the Antipinsky Refinery being built; also a preliminary approval has been received for the financing of the Tobolsk-Polimer Company project to construct a polypropylene production plant. The Schlumberger oilfield services company built three plants in the region and put the Siberian Training Centre into operation. There is a total of 46 branches of foreign companies and 249 enterprises supported by foreign capital investments working in the Tyumen Oblast today. |
