Urals State University Finds Research Ally in Europe10.04.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. On 8 April 2009 the Urals State University and the Budapest University signed a cooperation agreement. The main area of cooperation is designated as the Russian Studies and includes all the subjects connected with Russia: from the Russian philology to the current politics of the country. Also the parties agreed to develop a relationship in the studies of archaeology, astrophysics, and nanotechnology. During his visit to the Urals Modern Nanotechnologies Centre the rector of the Budapest University Ferenc Hudecz said that there were several specific avenues for cooperation between the universities in this sphere. Joint projects are possible between the libraries and botanic gardens of the Urals and Hungarian universities, RusBusinessNews was informed in the Urals University. The Urals State University is one of the leading universities in Russia and the oldest classical university in the Urals. More than 16 thousand students study in more than 14 natural science and liberal art departments. There are 236 professors and 18 members of the Russian Academy of Sciences amongst the tutors of the University. |
