Banks

The banking network is rather well developed in the Kurgan Oblast and includes 46 banks, branches, and representative offices. A significant share of the market is taken by the Urals Bank of the Sberbank of Russia.

There are 26 hotels in the Kurgan Oblast; some of them are rated three-star by the European standards.

Logistics and transport

The Oblast has an advantageous location in terms of geography and transport.
The Transsiberian Railway passes through the Kurgan Oblast. The aviation transport in the Kurgan Oblast is represented by the OAO Airport Kurgan and the carrier OOO SIBIA. There is a regular flight connection Kurgan-Moscow.

Communications

The Oblast authorities give a lot of attention to the implementation of new information and communications technologies. In accordance to the national project "Education" all schools have been connected to the Internet. There have been opened 355 public Internet access points.
There have been installed about 1000 thousand payphones providing outgoing calls. Cellular communications are successfully developing in the Oblast, these are provided by the leading Russian companies. There are more than 835 thousand cellular subscribers.

Retail trade is one of the fastest growing segments of infrastructure.
