"Ural Airlines" have substantially increased its passenger flow to international destinations

In January-February 2011, "Ural Airlines" aircraft made 2,695 flights. As compared to the beginning of the previous year, the number of departing flights increased by 42%. The growth of the air traffic volume is explained by the new bases opened by the airline company in Krasnodar, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa and Kazan.

Over the two months in 2011, the airline's passenger flow totaled 217,160 people. Out of them, 48% took flights to destinations outside Russia.

Due to the new routes offered by the company, the number of passengers traveling to non-CIS countries has increased to 60,833 people (+71%). The winter schedule of "Ural Airlines" was added up with regular flights to Barcelona, Rome and Istanbul. Furthermore, on-season flights to Munich have been resumed; flights from Ekaterinburg to Beijing have become more frequent. Besides, "Ural Airlines" have started regular scheduled flights to Dubai from Kazan and Ufa.

"RusBusinessNews" has been informed by the Press Service of "Ural Airlines" that on March 22 the company launched the Ekaterinburg - Karlovy Vary flight. The short-range plans include more frequent flights from Ekaterinburg to Rome, increasing them to two times a week.

The fleet of "Ural Airlines" consists of twelve A320 and two A321 aircraft. Being an operator of modern airbuses servicing the routes popular with Russian passengers, the airline company can secure its position among the top ten Russian air carriers in terms of air traffic.
