Ural Airlines have bought the fifteenth airbus25.03.2011 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION. Ural Airlines Company has acquired another Airbus A321 under the operating lease agreement. On March 24, 2011, the airbus, which previously had been operated by AirLingus, arrived in Ekaterinburg from Ireland. The fifteenth airbus in the company's fleet can accommodate 220 passengers in economy-class configuration. It will service Ural Airlines' scheduled full-load flights and will help to diversify the charter program of the airline company. At present, Ural Airlines Company is operating 12 airbuses A320 and 3 airbuses A321 under lease agreements. "RusBusinessNews" has been informed that in the first half of the year, the airline company is planning to acquire another three airbuses. Ural Airlines rank among the 10 top Russian airline companies in terms of traffic volume. In January-February 2011, Ural Airlines' aircraft made 2,695 flights. The number of departing flights increased by 42% against the beginning of the previous year. The passenger flow of the airline company reached 217,160 people over the two months. Out of them, 48% of the passengers took flights to destinations outside Russia. |
