Azot is going to tell the governor of the Perm Region about its further plans29.08.2012 — News PERM REGION. On August 30, 2012 Viktor Basargin, the governor of the Perm region, is going to visit the Azot Branch of URALCHEM United Chemical Company, OJSC, in Berezniki. He will learn about the production and financial performance of the company, its personnel and social policy, about long-range projects and plans for its further growth. The representatives of the Azot’s Press Service have informed RusBusinessNews that the Berezniki factory joined the URALCHEM holding company in 2007 and is one of the largest Russian producers of ammonia and ammonia-based nitrogen fertilizers. Azot is the Russia’s only company producing higher aliphatic amines, potassium and sodium nitrate, crystalline sodium nitrite. The company has an effective and efficient program aimed at mitigation of the impact on the environment. In 2012, the company launched a large-scale 1.3 billion-ruble project for upgrading of the production. The funds earmarked for environmental protection measures amount to more than 270 million rubles, which exceeds 2.5 times the amount allocated in the previous year. Today, the Berezniki-based Azot Branch of URALCHEM United Chemical Company is one of the largest taxpayers in the Perm Region. In 2011, its tax deductions totaled 204.6 million rubles: The company remitted 90.5 million rubles to the regional budget and 114.1 million rubles – to the budget of Berezniki. |
