UGMK increased exports of non-ferrous metal products by 20%

Over January-June 2012 the factories of UGMK-OTSM, LLC (responsible for the assets of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company in the non-ferrous metal processing sector) more than doubled their output of nickel rolled products as compared to the similar period of last year. The output of copper-nickel rolled products increased almost by 25%, whereas the output of bronze and copper products increased by 6.3% and 1.8% respectively.

The output of electrical copper bus bars and profiles as well as the output of radiator tape increased 2.5 times in response to the high demand from machine-building and automobile companies.

The representatives of the UGMK Press Service have informed RusBusinessNews that over six months the company sold about 30 thousand tons of copper and copper alloy products, having increased its exports by 20%. Exports supplies also include brass and copper pipes used in the electric power industry as well as brass rod used in machine-building and instrument making.

UGMK-OTSM LLC that was founded in 2007 includes the Kirov Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant and the Kolchuginsky Non-Ferrous Metal Plant. In addition, the company sells products manufactured at the Serbian Copper Tube Plant and the Revda Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant.
