URALCHEM has put another 1.5 billion rubles into the renovation of its subsidiary Azot18.09.2012 — News PERM TERRITORY. Total investment in capital repairs and technical upgrades at the Azot subsidiary of the United Chemical Company URALCHEM, OJSC will amount to 1.547 billion rubles in 2012, which is an increase of 50% over last year. Azot’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the work, which is being done in the ammonia, nitric acid, ammonium nitrate plants, as well as in the facility that separates argon, the steam-water supply plant, and the service lines, will be finished by mid-autumn. As a result the company should see stabilized production methods, extended service life for equipment, a lower impact on the environment, and greater productivity. The Unified Chemical Company URALCHEM, OJSC is one of the largest companies in the nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer market in Russia and the CIS. Every year its subsidiaries produce over 2.5 million tons of ammonium nitrate, 2.8 million tons of ammonia, 0.8 million tons of monoammonium and diammonium phosphates, 0.8 million tons of compound fertilizers, and 1.2 million tons of carbamide. |
