URALCHEM is investing more than RUB 2 billion in upgrading its Perm-based business entities31.10.2012 — News PERM REGION In 2012, the aggregate capital investment in Azot, UCC’s Berezniki-based subsidiary, and UCC's Perm-based Mineral Fertilizers (members of the United Chemical Company URALCHEM, OJSC) will exceed 2 billion rubles. Murad Chaparov, director of both subsidiaries, has informed RusBusinessNews that the amount earmarked for Azot is 1.753 billion rubles, while Perm’s enterprise will receive about 314 million rubles. This year’s investment has nearly doubled as compared to the amount allocated to the subsidiaries last year. Environmental programs are given priority attention. In 2011, Azot allocated 52 million rubles for these programs, and Mineral Fertilizers – 68.5 million rubles. As a result, the enterprises reduced air emissions by 4-6% as compared to 2010. Mineral Fertilizers decreased their waste water discharge by 17%; the waste generation at Azot decreased by 7%. In 2012, the environmental expenditure of both subsidiaries of URALCHEM will exceed 148 million rubles. |
