URALCHEM has ramped up its production14.11.2012 — News MOSCOW Between January and September of 2012, the Unified Chemical Company URALCHEM, OJSC produced 4.398 million tons of products, which is 0.5% more than in the same period last year. URALCHEM’s press office told RusBusinessNews that ammonia production increased by 9% - up to 577,561 tons, and 8% more carbamide was produced, up to 856,546 tons. High demand for nitric acid on the Russian market has meant a 17% increase in shipments of that chemical product for industrial use, exceeding 242.5 thousand tons. The output of high-margin products has also grown. In particular, the manufacture of diammonium phosphate has resumed (over 45 thousand tons), and the production of compound fertilizers is up by 4%, and reached 462.1 thousand tons. The fabrication of ammonium nitrate and ammonium phosphate was reduced - by 7% and 15%, respectively. UCC URALCHEM, OJSC is one of the largest companies serving the nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer market in Russia and the CIS. Its subsidiaries produce over 2.5 million tons of ammonium nitrate, 2.8 million tons of ammonia, 0.8 million tons of monoammonium and diammonium phosphates, 0.8 million tons of compound fertilizers, and 1.2 million tons of carbamide every year. |
