The Perm Krai puts agricultural investment sites on offer

In 2009 the Perm Krai government are planning to raise about RUR 350M in private investments to the agricultural sector. Last year 10 major investors spent RUR 400M.

As the regional government officials told RusBusinessNews, the demand for agricultural products keeps growing. In January - March 2009, the production volume exceeded RUR 3.5 bn, a 1.8% growth y.o.y.

180 poultry farms, fish farms and dairy farms were short-listed as investment opportunities. Some of them are currently idle, and the majority of those operating need to be modernized.
