UMMC will purchase 1.4 million rubles' worth of equipment for the Gai Mining and Processing Works

In 2013, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company will spend 1.4 billion rubles on mining equipment for the Gai Mining and Processing Works. More than 60 self-propelled vehicles will be provided to the business over the course of the year.

The plant will first receive auxiliary equipment to maintain underground roadways: a bulldozer from the firm Zanam-Legmet (Poland) and a grader from Nopmet (Finland).

UMMC's press office told RusBusinessNews that the plant has already received a haul truck from the Swedish company Atlas Copco, plus five load-haul-dump trucks, including three with a capacity of ten tons from the SANDVIK company (Finland) and two units with a capacity of 14 tons from CATERPILLAR (Australia).

A large quantity of primary and auxiliary equipment is also expected to arrive in the second half of 2013.
