UMMC to raise ore production from Bashkir deposits to three million tons25.06.2013 — News BASHKORTOSTAN The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company is investing 1.4 billion rubles in 2013 in the construction of an underground mine at the Yubileinoe deposit. Once it reaches its planned capacity, it will produce 2.2 million tons of ore per year. By developing the Dergamyshskoe, Podolskoe and Novo-Petrovskoe deposits in the next few years, the company will be able to increase its production to 3 million tons. UMMC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the Yubileinoe deposit has potential resources of 100 million tons, which will provide the company with work for 50 years. Ores from the local deposits are sent to the Bashkirskaya Med, LLC processing plant (a subsidiary of UMMC). That business can process 1.5 million tons of ore annually. Plans are underway to construct the second stage of the processing plant, which will also have a capacity of 1.5 million tons.
