Urals Pipe Producers Preparing for Expansion to Uzbekistan

The ChTPZ Group companies are bidding for orders from Uzbekistan. The Urals pipe producers presented their products at the XIII International Oil And Gas Exhibition OGU-2009 which started on May 12 in Tashkent.

The Uzbekistan market has quite a potential in terms of pipe products sales. 194 gas fields are being operated in this country, with the total pipeline length exceeding 13,000 km.The ChTPZ Group offers integrated solutions for the fuel and energy sector. Also, the Pervouralsk Pipe Plant (the Sverdlovsk oblast) presented its Finishing Centre at the exhibition.

As the plant representatives informed RusBusinessNews, total investments into the Centre amounted to 122 million Euro. After the Finishing Centre was launched, PNTZ's annual production capacity exceeded 300,000 tonnes of oil and gas pipes.

A long-standing relationship that exists between the ChTPZ Group, Gazprom, and Lukoil, the Russian leading natural resources companies, is helpful for promoting the plant's pipe products in the Uzbek market, as the latter are implementing hydrocarbon prospecting, extraction, and transportation projects in this country.
