The French Ambassador will Go to Ekaterinburg with Business Mission

On 21-22 May, 2009 the delegation of the French businessmen will be looking for points of mutual interest with the Urals businessmen in Ekaterinburg. The French Ambassador to Russia Jean de Gliniasti will bring to the Urals the representatives of GDF Suez, BNP Paribas, Alstom, Schneider Electric.

The French Ambassy in RF informed RusBusinessNews that the programme of Mr.de Gliniasti visit includes the meetings with Nikolay Vinnichenko ,the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the RF to the Urals Federal District, as well as with Eduard Rossel, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, and with Arkady Chernetsky, the Mayor of Ekaterinburg. The French Ambassador will also take part in "Russian- French legal meetings".

The French companies consider the Sverdlovsk Oblast as the leading Russian region for business partnership. Bouygues Batiment International, the construction company, has built in Ekaterinburg a 5-star hotel Hyatt Regency, for the summer SCO Summit; the hotel was designed by the French firm Valode&Pistre. AREVA T&D, the world leading company manufacturing equipment and systems for the transmission and distribution of electricity, has a plant in Ekaterinburg. The Schneider Electric equipment supplies electricity to the Urals industrial facilities. In 2009 the Group LVMH opened the boutiques Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton in Ekaterinburg.
