The subsidiary Azot has increased production by 3.4%23.01.2014 — News PERM TERRITORY In 2013, Azot, a subsidiary of UCC URALCHEM, OJSC, manufactured 2.118 million tons of marketable products - which is 3.4% more than in 2012. Production of ammonium nitrate reached 1.098 million tons, which is 5% more than a year ago, and 499,400 tons of carbamide were manufactured (a 1% increase). UCC URALCHEM's second Perm-based business - Mineral Fertilizers, OJSC - produced 556,500 tons of ammonia in 2013 (3.4% less than in 2012), and 638,200 tons of carbamide (a drop of 4.8%). The business’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the lower quantities were due to the plant's scheduled shutdown in the third quarter of 2013 for major repairs. In 2012, by contrast, only routine maintenance was done. |
