Ekaterinburg to receive 50 low-floor trams for the World Cup14.05.2014 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION Uraltransmash, OJSC will assemble 50 low-floor trams for Ekaterinburg. The Sverdlovsk regional governor's department of information policy told RusBusinessNews that a decision was made to upgrade transportation for the 2018 World Cup matches that will be held in the capital of the Urals. At a May 13, 2014 meeting with the management of the company, Evgeny Kuyvashev, the governor of the Central Urals, discussed the delivery details. An agreement is scheduled to be signed at the INNOPROM venue in July. According to the head of the region, the trams will be purchased under a lease plan. E. Kuyvashev inspected the production facility at Uraltransmash, where both standard and low-floor trams are assembled. The 71-410 car model will be presented at the INNOPROM exhibition. |
