Irish Whisky Suppliers Go to the Urals28.05.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. On 3-4 June 2009 the Moscow regional office of Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, is going to discuss with distributors and retailers the issue of product delivery in Ekaterinburg, introducing liquor, chocolate, and dairy products. A representative of Bord Bia told RusBusinessNews that the Irish are mostly interested in local liquor sales network as well as big food retailers. According to the Bord Bia figures, during the first two months of 2009 import of premium liquor to the Sverdlovsk Oblast has increased by 7-10 % y.o.y. A similar workshop - "Unknown Ireland" - has already been held in Moscow and St.Petersburg. The capital of the Sverdlovsk Oblast will be the third Russian city where Bord Bia intends to find opportunities for direct deliveries of Irish products. Bord Bia's Russian regional office highly estimates the strong regional trade network, with its international players such as X5, Metro Cash & Carry, Auchan, and Ramstore. |
