Western Insurers Begin the Urals Expansion

ING Group, a global financial services company, is working up the Ural insurance market. In April-May 2009 ING Life Insurance launched its offices in Ekaterinburg, Perm and Tyumen.

The ING Group press service informed RusBusinessNews that the customers will be offered the whole range of the company's insurance products, including a new accident insurance programme "All Together".

In 2008 Aviva, the largest British insurance company, opened its regional offices in Ekaterinburg and Tyumen. The experts believe that the UrFO insurance market is very attractive for the foreign companies. As they come in, the competitiveness between the insurers will become stronger, the service quality will increase, and insurance rates, sometimes overestimated, will be reduced.

Moreover, the customers of foreign companies can claim their insurance money both within Russia and abroad. This is particularly important for participants of the foreign economic activity. Thus, the number of foreign insurers in the Urals will increase.
