RCC Group Receives Loan for 326 Million Dollars15.11.2019 — News

Sberbank has granted the metallurgical division of the RCC Group (Russian Copper Company) a loan in the amount of 326 million dollars. The funds will be put toward re-equipping the copper electrolysis workshop, building a copper foil electrolysis workshop at the Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant, and boosting output at JSC Karabashmed.
RCC informed RusBusinessNews that implementation of this investment project at Kyshtym would allow the company to increase the productivity of its copper electrolysis workshop by 64%, up to 230 thousand tons of cathodes per year, and construct Russia’s first high-tech copper foil electrolysis manufacturing process, with a capacity of 1.2 thousand tons annually.
Plans for Karabashmed include increasing productivity by about 40%, which amounts to up to 230 thousand tons of blister copper per year, and arrange for a new copper anode smelting site with a capacity of 265 thousand tons a year.
