Ural Airlines carried over 2 million passengers08.07.2020 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION During the first half of 2020, Ural Airlines provided services to 2,043,802 passengers, demonstrating a 52% decrease compared to the same period of 2019. 833,561 passengers were carried on international flights. In total, 16,843 flights (down 42%) were completed, including 6,576 flights to international destinations. The passenger traffic totaled more than 4.8 billion passenger-kilometers. In June, Ural Airlines’ aircraft carried 169,985 people (down 82%), including 2,262 passengers traveling to international destinations. The carrier’s airliners completed 1,810 flights (down 70%), including 125 international (repatriation, cargo, and charter) flights. As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the airline’s Press Service, the sharp drop in air travel was triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. Ural Airlines ranks among the leading Russian airlines by passenger traffic. In 2019, Ural Airlines carried 9,616,908 passengers (up 7% against 2018). The airline operates 48 Airbus airliners (3 A320neos, 2 A321neos, 23 A320s, 15 A321s and 5 A319s). |
