VSMPO-AVISMA invests 2.6 billion rubles in machining facilities

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation PJSC, is implementing an ambitious investment project to upgrade its machining facilities. It is planning to purchase 13 specialized equipment complexes for the ring and disk machining facility.

 

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the VSMPO-AVISMA PR management, the assembly of the vertical turning mill for machining rings up to 4 meters in diameter has already started. Its commissioning is scheduled for January.

 

The 2.6 bn dollar project aimed at upgrading the ring and disk machining facility is scheduled for completion in Q4 2021.

 

Large-size titanium rings, a unique product of VSMPO-AVISMA, are used in manufacturing body parts of aircraft gas turbine engines.
