Residents of Ekaterinburg are choosing a design for the Preobrazhensky Park and Solnechnie Alleys

Online voting is taking place until the 30th of May in Ekaterinburg, focusing on the design of projects for public areas that will be constructed in 2022 as part of the Comfortable Urban Environment Formation state program. Tamara Blagodatkova, the Chairperson of the Committee for Landscaping, told the citizens about the differences of the project during the airing on Channel 41, RusBusinessNews reports.

 

The improvement of these areas involves two new green areas - Preobrazhensky Park in the Akademichesky district and Solnechnie Alleys in the Solnechniy microdistrict.

 

In particular, the Solnechnie Alleys are proposed to be turned into recreational areas between the blocks of new residential buildings, social facilities, and the Center for Rhythmic and Aesthetic Gymnastics, which are under construction.

 

According to Tamara Blagodatkova, it is proposed to create zones for pedestrian transit, waiting areas, and entertainment areas with children's play equipment. It is possible to find two options for their placement on the Comfortable Urban Environment Formation website.

 

"From first impressions, it may seem like these are the same projects, but they’re not. In some areas, there are more playgrounds, somewhere more art objects and somewhere more recreational areas with comfortable sun loungers. The two options do differ," said the head of the improvement committee.

 

Separately, she touched upon the concept of arranging the Preobrazhensky Park with an area of almost 50 hectares.

 

"This is a very large-scale project; such parks have not been built in Ekaterinburg for a long time. It will be an environmentally friendly park. There will be large areas with trees that need to be created for quiet relaxation areas and walks, along with large sports fields and children's recreational areas," said the government official.

 

The internet platform za.gorodsreda.ru will ensure safe voting. You can also choose a project that you like offline in several shopping centers, at the Square of 1905 metro station, at the intersection of Schastlivaya - Luchistaya streets, and at the Solnechniy park.
