VSMPO-AVISMA passes Environmental Management System audit

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation has once again confirmed the compliance of its environmental management system with ISO 14001 standard. The annual audit was conducted by employees of the Russian representative office of AFNOR Rus certification body on November 15-19, the corporation's press service told RusBusinessNews.

 

"VSMPO-AVISMA is one of the leading enterprises where there are completely different production and technological processes, and this is why it is interesting in terms of building an environmental management system. The company consistently meets the requirements of the international standard and demonstrates positive achievements in the field of environmental protection each year. One of the main positive achievements is that the discharge of raw wastewater into the surface watercourse has been fully ceased, thanks to the commissioning of two modern sewage pumping stations," said Irina Gabova, lead auditor of AFNOR International.

 

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation also has a special committee that develops a sustainable development program. The purpose of this work is to achieve the highest rating of the company according to the ESG (Environment Social Governance) criteria.
