Putin praises VSMPO-Avisma's contribution to the development of Russia-Brazil relations

The VSMPO-Avisma Corporation, PJSC makes a significant contribution to Russia-Brazil relations, being the exclusive supplier of titanium to Embraer. This was remarked by Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a meeting with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

 

"We are pleased to note the successful expansion of bilateral industrial cooperation. And I would like to mention the projects being implemented with the participation of the Russian Power Machines corporation to modernize Brazil's hydro-power industry, as well as the supplies of components for Brazil's high-tech industries set up by Severstal and Avisma," stressed the Russian President.

 

The VSMPO-Avisma Corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the cooperation with the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) began in 2000. Five years later, the Russian corporation became the exclusive 100 per cent supplier of titanium and remains so today. VSMPO-Avisma fully covers the needs of Embraer and its sub-suppliers in titanium semi-finished products: sheets, plates, rods, and billets, and also produces a wide range of forgings for aircraft builders' projects. Embraer has awarded VSMPO-Avisma Corporation four times as the best supplier.
