First in the Urals: School Boiling Point opens in Verkhnyaya Salda

School Boiling Point, the first in the Urals and the fourth one in Russia, has appeared in Verkhnyaya Salda. The so called Constellations site of the project is located in Secondary School 1 named after A.S. Pushkin. The opening ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) ecosystem, the Kruzhok movement (National Technology Initiative), VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and Mikhail Shelkov's Empathy Foundation, the city administration, friendly Boiling Points of the Sverdlovsk Region, Novosibirsk, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, RusBusinessNews reports.

 

The Boiling Points – creative spaces for teamwork and project work – are launched in Russian regions by ASI. Today, there are city, university, Hi-Tech, and entrepreneurial Points. Starting in 2020, school-based ones began to appear as well.

"The school Boiling Point isn't only a space for developing and creating projects, but it is also a platform for interesting discussions, useful lectures, and master classes. It'll deal with hot-button issues relevant for both children and their teachers and parents. And the extensive company interaction program will help students learn more about the professions and decide on their careers, and we really hope that the graduates will become part of our Russian Titan team," said Olga Furtatova, VSMPO-AVISMA's Director for Personnel Management.

 

Creative space will give Verkhnyaya Salda a new platform for teamwork and exchange of experience between young people and professional communities. Such interaction will ensure the creation of new ideas and the elaboration of models of socio-economic development of the region.

 

Just a couple of months ago we attended the opening of Prospect PIC, an educational space aimed at quality vocational guidance for Salda teenagers and filled with state-of-the-art equipment and educational techniques. Boiling Point is also a new space, but it is not just for young people. Its special feature is that it is both proposed and designed by the students themselves, with the help of adults of course, but understanding their own responsibility too. This is the key point of the Workshop: Salda 2.0 accelerator project, work with the team of the school Boiling Point, and other projects initiated by the Empathy Foundation with the support of VSMPO-AVISMA and partnership of the Higher Technical School both in Verkhnyaya Salda and in Tula", says Yulia Manayenkova, the Expert of the Empathy Foundation, Vice-Rector of the Higher Technical School.
