Rebuilding Perm in Dutch Fashion22.06.2009 — News PERM. KCAP Architects & Planners, a Dutch company, will develop the master plan for the city of Perm. The city development strategy for the next 50 years is to be completed by the end of 2009. By 2011 KCAP are to prepare a number of detailed projects within the framework of this strategy. Over 512 million roubles were allocated for this project in the municipal budget. The master plan is supposed to turn the capital of the Perm Krai into a more compact and at the same time more open city. Representatives of the City Council told RusBusinessNews that KCAP specialists will hold the next intermediary project presentation in Perm on 29-30 June. The Dutch specialists will dwell on the residential quarters development and creating the so-called "active front", the public infrastructure at the ground floors of the buildings. In addition, the Dutch delegation will present a project for the reconstruction of the Kama embankment. KCAP has more than 20 years of experience in construction in more than 10 countries, including projects in such cities as Amsterdam, Dublin, London, Moscow, Beijing, Singapore, Helsinki and Zurich. |
