VSMPO-AVISMA allocated one billion rubles for social and charity programs in half a year

Social investments of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PJSC totaled almost 1 billion rubles in the first half of 2023. As the press service says, the key areas of focus included providing social support for employees and their families, running charity programs, and developing the areas of presence.

 

For example, VSMPO-AVISMA allocated 654 million rubles over six months (452.6 million rubles for employees at the Verkhnyaya Salda site and 201.4 million rubles for employees at the Berezniki site) to provide various benefits to employees and their families. Among the benefits are medical treatment and recreation for employees and their children, reimbursement of meals, organization of cultural events, financial assistance to seniors, and much more, RusBusinessNews reports.

 

Since the beginning of the year, employees of both companies got raises in three stages. The first was a differentiated increase from 6% to 40% for the production staff. The second was a 6% wage indexation for all employees, and another 9% salary raise for all employees of the parent and subsidiary companies from July 1. The measures resulted in the average salary increase by 70 thousand rubles at VSMPO and by 67 thousand rubles at AVISMA in the first half of the year. These values go above the Sverdlovsk Region and Perm Territory's averages.

 

"The company's board consistently fulfills its social obligations to the employees. Wage indexation, providing recreation camp trips, reimbursement of meals are just a small portion of the good the employer does to the large VSMPO-AVISMA team," explains Dmitry Trifonov, CEO of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PJSC.

Over 191 million rubles were allocated to charity programs in the first half of the year. The funds were used to support educational programs, cultural and sports events, public organizations, and the city's public movement Our Home is Verkhnyaya Salda.

 

It's worth noting that the Empathy Charitable Foundation managed by Mikhail Shelkov, a VSMPO-AVISMA shareholder, was founded in 2020. The foundation covers a number of areas. In particular, it financially supports over 1,100 tutors in the Sverdlovsk Region every month, including teachers and kindergarteners; organizes free learning courses, and encourages active teachers and top-performing students. In the first half of the year alone, the foundation allocated 100 million rubles to support teachers and educators in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Salda.

 

Another important area of VSMPO-AVISMA's social investments is upgrading the area of presence. In the first half of the year, the corporation's investments in the construction and repair of cultural, sports, and health care facilities exceeded 144 million rubles. In particular, funds were allocated for the repair and maintenance of the Tirus recreation center, physical culture and sports facilities, and library, as well as the improvement of the Cosmos Park and repair of the premises of the Kedr cinema in Verkhnyaya Salda and the Chaika health center in Berezniki.
