The President of the Czech Republic Plans to Visit Russia23.06.2009 — News The Ural Federal District. The President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus has accepted Dmitry Medvedev's invitation to visit Russia in the middle of October 2009. The Czech President also expressed a wish to visit one of the regions in the Urals Federal District. Miroslav Rameš, General Consul of the Czech Republic in Ekaterinburg, told RusBusinessNews that the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Urals Federal District Nikolay Vinnichenko had been informed about the potential visit of the Czech President. The Czech Republic sees the Urals as one of the key districts for economic cooperation with Russia. In April 2009 the delegation of Czech industrialists and bankers headed by the Minister for Industry and Trade Martin Rziman visited the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk oblasts. |
