Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine's Products Will Get Electronic Certificate

The quality of every sheet produced by the Plate Mill 5000 of OAO Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine will get the electronic certificate indicating 9,000 parameters. Products of the plate mill, which will be launched in July 2009, are intended for the production of pipes, bridge construction and shipbuilding, as well as for machine building.

The Combine's representatives told RusBusinessNews that the unique information system makes all technological processes absolutely transparent. The operations performed on every sheet in the rolling plate workshop will be recorded individually; the actions of the staff will be personified and recorded in a protocol. The quality management system shall meet the requirements of the OAO Gazprom Series 9000 corporate standards as well as Lloyds Register requirements for manufacturers of steel that is used in shipbuilding.
