Furniture Production in the Tyumen Oblast is Decreasing Rapidly24.06.2009 — News THE TYUMEN OBLAST. Since the beginning of 2009 the furniture production in the Tyumen Oblast has decreased by 40%. The office furniture manufactures were the ones that suffered the most due to the crisis - their products are in little demand because of the decelerated business activity. The "Zarechye" furniture plant, one of the leading manufacturers in the Tyumen oblast, has almost run out of material supplies in June; the amount of accounts receivable is constantly increasing; there are problems with repayment of 120 million roubles borrowed for buying a plot of land for relocating the production facilities outside the city. The manufacturer's representatives told RusBusinessNews that the staff works 4 days a week, the average wage has decreased by 30%. The regional authorities are ready to help "Zarechye" in partial repaying of interest on the loans on account of the Tyumen Oblast budget. |
