Urals Enterprises Receive Advance Payment for Work on Defence Contract

The military industrial complex enterprises received 4 billion roubles under the gosoboronzakaz (state defence contracts) program for the year 2009. According to Sergey Sobyanin, the Deputy Prime Minister of the RF, the total sum of money allocated to manufacturers of the Urals Federal District under government contracts will amount to almost 14 billion roubles.

The Deputy Chairman of the Union of Defence Industry Enterprises Vladimir Kukarskikh told RusBusinessNews that at present only 6 plants in the region have received advance payments under the gosoboronzakaz (state defence contracts). These include Kalinin Machine Plant JSC (Ekaterinburg) and FGUP (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) PO Urals Optical Mechanical Plant (Ekaterinburg).
