VSMPO-AVISMA and the authorities of the Sverdlovsk Region will cooperate in the area of personnel support

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Science, the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, and four regional colleges. The agreements aim to develop human resources potential, enhance scientific, technical, and innovation activities, train qualified employees in high-demand professions and specialties, and elevate the prestige of technical fields, the company's press service told RusBusinessNews.

 

The document was signed by Sergey Perestoronin, head of the Ministry of Industry and Science, and Yuri Biktuganov, head of the Ministry of Education. It was also signed by Dmitry Trifonov, CEO of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, along with the heads of Verkhnyaya Salda Aviation Metallurgical College named after Yevstigneev, Irbit Motorcycle Technical School, Irbit Polytechnic, and Tavda Technical School named after Elokhin.

“The agreement signed with VSMPO-AVISMA is an important and mutually beneficial document. Titanium Corporation will be replenished with employees who already understand and know the specifics and uniqueness of the company. The students will be guaranteed a job with an impressive social package and a good salary immediately after graduation,” said Sergey Perestoronin, Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region.

 

“The agreement with the specialized Ministries and the main technical colleges of the region will make it possible to train valuable and unique personnel not only for our company, but in general for the entire titanium industry in Russia. These technical colleges are where students acquire skills and knowledge that will enable them to become highly qualified specialists,” emphasized Dmitry Trifonov, CEO of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, PJSC.

In Verkhnyaya Salda, representatives of the ministries were shown the possibilities of training future employees of the titanium enterprise – from studying professions in the professional-industrial cluster Perspektiva to secondary vocational education under the Professionalitet federal program. They were also shown a modern student campus, opened in 2023, where about 100 students from the Sverdlovsk Region and other regions of the Russian Federation live.

 

The delegation visited the VSMPO-AVISMA industrial site, where students of Sverdlovsk colleges and technical schools will be employed under the targeted training program. The company guarantees them comfortable working conditions, a solid social package, corporate bonuses, and career growth opportunities. Ministers and college principals were shown the facilities of one of the newest workshops.
