On June 28, Verkhnyaya Salda will host a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Vladislav Tetyukhin, the renowned General Director of VSMPO-AVISMA, as part of the Plant Day celebrations. This bronze pedestal is installed in the park of the same name, which is under reconstruction scheduled to be completed within the framework of the Formation of Comfortable Urban Environment federal program. The project of the V.V. Tetyukhin park and the monument were funded by VSMPO-AVISMA, the company's press service told RusBusinessNews.

"I was fortunate to work closely with Vladislav Valentinovich for many years, I know the frantic pace of his life, the ambitious and seemingly unrealizable goals he used to set for himself and the team. But in the end, he always achieved everything he set out to do. Our goal is to keep on holding this high bar and reach new peaks," said Dmitry Trifonov, General Director of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation.

The monument to the philanthropist was designed by Igor Linevich-Yavorsky, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the winner of the competition held by VSMPO-AVISMA in 2021. An open vote by the residents of Verkhnyaya Salda was held to select the best project from more than 40 artists, sculptors, and architectural bureaus from all over Russia. Thus, it can be safely said that this is a monument chosen by people.

The memorial was cast in bronze in the workshop of Ivan Dubrovin in the village of Novoalekseevskoye. The sculpture is 3.6 metres high and weighs 960 kilograms. Each of the three slabs of the pedestal weighs five tonnes.

Members of Vladislav Tetyukhin's family, the Sverdlovsk region administration, employees of the Ural Clinical Treatment and Rehabilitation Center named after Tetyukhin and other honored guests were invited to the solemn laying of flowers at the memorial.

Construction of the V.V. Tetyukhin Park in Verkhnyaya Salda started in 2021. After the installation of the monument to the patron of the arts, the next stages will be to finish work in the central part of the park and start the final stage of landscaping.
