Koltsovo Airport Attracts World Brands to Its Duty Free26.06.2009 — News THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST. The recently opened Duty Free shop in the Koltsovo airport international terminal in Ekaterinburg is planning to triple its turnover. For the last six years the area of the shop has been 137 square meters - now it is six times more. The shop is managed by ZAO KAPO Duty Free, which owns 15 Russian Duty free shops mostly situated in car checkpoint areas on borders with Finland, Norway, China, Estonia and Ukraine. In 2002 the company opened its first shop in Koltsovo. In November 2008 the company started operating in Chelyabinsk airport. The company is currently considering the opportunity of opening a shop in Sochi airport. KAPO Duty Free's major supplier is the German firm Gebrueder Heinemann KG. Vast area available for the shop in Koltsovo will enable the shop management to enlarge the product range by over 1,500 items and attract new global brands that are known for their selective approach and strict requirements to retailers. Perfumes and cosmetics by Chanel, Shiseido, Clarins, as well as personalized units of Swarovski, Hugo Boss, Montblanc and Porsche Design will be featured in the Ekaterinburg Duty Free shop. Accessories by Versace, Burberry, Ray-Вan, Pradа, Dolce Gabbana will also be offered in Koltsovo airport. In addition to that, the product range of spirits will also be enlarged. Koltsovo press officers told RusBusinessNews that the new Duty Free shop will be the largest in Russia, following the ones in Moscow airports. |
