VSMPO-AVISMA's contribution to the development of Verkhnyaya Salda has been highly appreciated by regional authorities

For the first time, the Sverdlovsk Region Government has held a visiting meeting in Verkhnyaya Salda. As part of the event, employees of VSMPO-AVISMA, Russia's largest titanium production facility, guided Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the region's governor, on a tour of the creative quarter and the Prospect Professional and Industrial Cluster, a career guidance initiative developed by the town's key enterprise. Mr. Kuyvashev also took the opportunity to meet local students from grades 7 to 11, answering their questions as part of the Engineering Saturdays educational project.

 

The governor also reviewed the ongoing construction of the V.V. Tetyukhin park, a project under the federal Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment program. VSMPO-AVISMA is in charge of both the park’s renovation design and the creation of a monument honoring Vladislav Tetyukhin, the company's legendary former general director.

 

Yevgeny Kuyvashev also congratulated the winners of the Best Teachers of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda contest, organized by the Empathy Charitable Foundation of Mikhail Shelkov, VSMPO-AVISMA's shareholder. Each winner received an additional monthly payment of 15,000 rubles for the 2024-2025 academic year, bringing the total grant from Empathy to 30,000 rubles.

VSMPO-AVISMA plays a significant role in both the regional and national economy. Titanium is a strategic metal, essential to machine-building industries, and it represents a considerable advantage today," said Yevgeny Kuyvashev.

 

Dmitry Trifonov, General Director of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation PJSC, highlighted the company’s substantial investments in various social initiatives during his discussion with the governor. These projects include support for employees and their families, as well as programs in sports, environmental protection, education, and both corporate and municipal healthcare.  "VSMPO-AVISMA maintains an ongoing and constructive dialogue with the regional government and city administration.  We are deeply engaged in the life of Verkhnyaya Salda, supporting educational and sports institutions, as well as social and cultural facilities. Most importantly, we continue seeking ways to enhance the quality of life for local residents," emphasized Trifonov.
