VSMPO-AVISMA shareholder will pay additional payments to ambulance workers in Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda02.10.2024 — News SVERDLOVSK REGION Starting from October 1, 2024, over 50 emergency medical paramedics in the hospitals of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda will get an additional monthly payment of 23 thousand rubles. The initiative was launched by VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation's shareholder Mikhail Shelkov, the founder of the Empathy Charitable Foundation, which has been providing financial support to talented youth and over a thousand teachers in both towns since 2020. Mikhail Shelkov's foundation has allocated over 10 million rubles for monthly payments to ambulance paramedics through the end of 2024. "This will help retain valuable medical personnel and reduce the risk of population outflow from Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda," the Empathy press office told RusBusinessNews.
"Every day, emergency physicians save tens of thousands of lives. Their professionalism and dedication deserve not only recognition but also comprehensive support. Recognizing the importance of the health of our employees and all residents of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda, we consider it our duty to provide financial support to the medical staff, enabling them to focus on their vital work for society without the concern of seeking other employment or additional income," said Mikhail Shelkov.
VSMPO-AVISMA also actively supports the development of local healthcare through its charitable programs. In recent years, the corporation has acquired several ventilators, a mobile X-ray machine, intensive care monitors, two vehicles for the Verkhnyaya Salda Central Hospital, and outfitted the hospital's urological department to better serve the local community. It is worth noting that the primary focus of the Empathy Charitable Foundation is supporting education, culture, and enlightenment. For over four years, the organization has been supporting educators in Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda, providing monthly financial assistance of 10 to 15 thousand rubles to more than 1,300 teachers and preschool educators. The winners of the Best Teachers contest receive an additional 15 thousand rubles each during the school year. Beginning in 2023, social rehabilitation centers have been incorporated into the program. |
