The third season of the free educational initiative, Science to Regions × Empathy, is now underway. This project is a collaboration between the PhysTech School Development Foundation and the Empathy Charitable Foundation, led by Mikhail Shelkov, a shareholder of VSMPO-AVISMA.

Registration for courses aimed at preparing 9th and 10th graders for the Unified State Exams and Basic State Exams in physics, mathematics, and computer science is open until October 28 on the Empathy Foundation's website. Students can choose from two preparation tracks: physical-mathematical or IT. Applications can also be submitted via the provided link.

As the press service of the Empathy Charitable Foundation reported to RusBusinessNews, the project includes an online course and an in-person two-week session at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). Selected students, chosen based on their academic performance, will have the opportunity to learn from faculty members at one of Russia’s leading technical universities. For instance, during the previous session, students attended lectures by renowned scientists Andrey Raygorodsky and Pavel Ostanin.

The online course will run from October 28 to December 28, 2024, with up to 300 students participating. The in-person educational session is scheduled for March 2025, where 60 top-performing students will be invited to join. Participation in this session will be entirely free for the selected students, as all expenses – including education, accommodation, meals, and round-trip transfers to Moscow – will be covered by the Empathy Foundation, headed by Mikhail Shelkov.
