VSMPO-AVISMA will invest billions in transforming Verkhnyaya Salda

Nearly 15 priority projects were unveiled at the first meeting of the organizing committee dedicated to advancing the socio-economic development of the Verkhnyaya Salda urban district. Chaired by the Sverdlovsk Region Governor Evgeny Kuivashev, the meeting brought together municipal head Aleksandr Maslov, members of the regional government, and VSMPO-AVISMA CEO Dmitry Trifonov.

 

"The upcoming anniversary of Verkhnyaya Salda in 2028 presents a unique opportunity to concentrate the efforts of the government, major businesses, public organizations, and local residents. Together, we can address existing challenges and identify new growth opportunities. A number of key initiatives will focus on enhancing the town's socio-economic landscape," said Governor Kuivashev.

"For years, the town's limited municipal budget has hampered progress in infrastructure development. However, our goal over the next five years is to prepare for the town’s 250th anniversary by transforming Verkhnyaya Salda into a desirable place to live and work. This will require significant support from both the regional government and VSMPO-AVISMA," pointed out Aleksandr Maslov, head of the Verkhnyaya Salda municipal district.

 

Key infrastructure projects already underway include the construction and modernization of a filtration station, treatment facilities, heat supply systems, and water networks. Overhauls of hydraulic structures and improvements to heat and water supply lines began in September.

VSMPO-AVISMA is fully committed to supporting the socio-economic development of Verkhnyaya Salda. We back the current action plan and propose further development of the town’s healthcare infrastructure," stated Dmitry Trifonov, CEO of VSMPO-AVISMA.

 

The town's social infrastructure is set to undergo sweeping changes. VSMPO-AVISMA has proposed renovating the hospital complex and several other healthcare facilities, the corporation's press office informed RusBusinessNews. Plans also include the reconstruction of the Demidovsky Quarter, construction of a bus station, renovations of School No. 2, Kindergarten No. 24, and the local History Museum, as well as outfitting the Tirus Sport multifunctional complex. The town’s embankment, the area surrounding the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian Church, and the Labor and Victory Garden Square will also be improved.
