Sophos Hotels S.A. Will Be Invited to Manage the Ramada Yekaterinburg Hotel

World-famous hotel brands are conquering Ekaterinburg. Guests of the Urals capital are welcome to stay at Park Inn, Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg, and Ramada Yekaterinburg Hotel.

The city, with its population of more than 1.3 million, has 55 hotels. Representatives of hotel business believe that the number of hotels will grow after the world financial crisis is over.

Herve Chopitel, Vice-President of Ramada Yekaterinburg Hotel, told RusBusinessNews that the rapidly growing capital city of the Sverdlovsk Oblast becomes more and more attractive for investment. According to Mr. Chopitel, many Russian developers make a mistake of trying to manage their hotels by themselves, which does not necessarily ensure the desired performance. Sophos Hotels S.A. (Switzerland) is expected to be engaged for managing Ramada Yekaterinburg Hotel.

Urals' hoteliers are wary of foreign competitors, and going to do their best to retain their current positions. Actions they can possibly take include price reduction, service improvement, and foreign language training for their staff.
