Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine Included in IMDS07.07.2009 — News THE CHELYABINSK OBLAST. The OAO Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine has become a part to the International Material Data System (IMDS) -the international automotive industry material data system. The 2009 audit, conducted at the request of TRW- Automotive, a German company, demonstrated that the Combine meets the standard ISO/TU 16949:2002 for automotive industry companies and suppliers. The company informed RusBusinessNews that the pickled hot-rolled strip is shipped to ZAO Polad (Togliatti). It is used for the manufacturing of safety system parts which are purchased by automotive modules manufacturers ARB-Moravan, a Czech company, and TRW- Automotive. The International Material Data System was developed by Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, Opel, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo in 2000. The IMDS contains the information on all materials used for the manufacture of car parts and components. Currently the system contains 19 car manufacturers and more than 50 thousand of their suppliers from all over the world. |
