Financial Crisis Decreased Investments into Ugra Economy by 20%28.07.2009 — News UGRA. Investments into Ugra's economy amounted to 175 billion roubles in January-June 2009. The indicator dropped 20% in comparison with the first half of the previous year. The regional government informed RusBusinessNews that 73% of investments is channelled into the development of the subsoil resource extraction. Ugra authorities are stimulating the investment activities granting companies tax benefits. In 2009 these may amount to about 15 billion roubles (450 million dollars). Foreign companies regardless of the world financial crisis are not losing their interest in the region rich in subsoil resources. In January-June their investments amounted to about 60 million US dollars. |
