TNK-BP Increased Oil and Gas Production by 3.1% in 200929.07.2009 — News The TNK-BP oil company in January-June 2009 increased oil and gas production by 3.1% compared to the first half of the last year. The daily production amounted to 1,668 thousand barrels of oil equivalent. The company informed RusBusinessNews that this growth is mainly due to the increase of production at the Verkhnechonsk field, the Uvat group, and the Kamennoye oilfield in the East and the West of Siberia. TNK-BP started the commercial operation the first two sites of the Uvat group – the Urnenskoye and Ust-Tegusskoye fields in the Tyumen Oblast in February 2009 having connected them to piplenes of OJSC AK Transneft. It is planned that during 2009 the production within the framework of the Uvat project will reach 2.4 million tons of oil. TNK-BP started the commercial development of the Kamennoye oilfield North centre in Ugra in June 2009. Oil production at this field should reach 1.8 million tons this year. |
