DeLaval Plans to Open Plant in Tyumen Oblast30.07.2009 — News THE TYUMEN OBLAST. One of the world’s leading makers of milking equipment DeLaval is looking for partners in the Tyumen Oblast. This Swedish company is contemplating an option of establishing a joint venture for the production of cattle farm equipment. The regional government informed RusBusinessNews that in the nearest future DeLaval will present the business plan to a local plant. Experts’ opinion is that the interest of foreign companies to setting up joint ventures in Russia is caused by the predicted of a raise in import duties on agricultural machinery by 5 to 15%. The Tyumen Oblast became DeLaval’s choice most likely because the region is developing its meat and dairy production. 450 million roubles was allocated in the Oblast budget in 2009 for purchasing of 4000 cows of elite breeds from Slovakia, Hungary, France, and Austria. |
