State Set Grain Prices Supported by Kurgan Oblast Agrarians01.04.2009 — News THE KURGAN OBLAST. In 2009 prices for milling wheat purchased in the Urals and Siberia under the "government grain intervention" programme will remain unchanged. Thus the cost of one ton of the grade III wheat will be 6,000 roubles, grade IV - 4,800 roubles, and rye - 3,500 roubles. The authorities have raised prices to the same level in the Russian Far East as well. Grain price will remain slightly lower in other agricultural regions of Russia: Tsentralny (Central), Privolzhsky (near Volga) and Yuzhny (Southern). One ton of the grade III wheat in those regions is still 5,500 roubles, grade IV wheat - 4,900 roubles, and rye - 3,900 roubles. These prices make trade profitable for both the agrarians and the bakers, the Kurgan Oblast government informed RusBusinessNews. In the time since the government grain intervention programme began the Kurgan Oblast agrarians have sold 80 thousand tons of grain. |
