08.09.2009 — News

THE KURGAN OBLAST.

The Investment Fund of the Russian Federation has allocated 990 million roubles for the construction of heating mains for the HPS-2 (Heat Power Station-2) in Kurgan. The largest investment project in Zauralye (lands beyond the Urals) must be completed in the second half of 2010.

The new HPS will help eliminating the 40% deficit for locally generated electricity in the Kurgan Oblast. The project worth 12.5 billion roubles is being implemented by Intertechelectro-New Generation LLC. The "turn-key" solution for the construction of the plant is provided by the Czech PSG- International. The Czech Export Bank issued Intertechelectro-New Generation LLC a loan amounting to about 200 million Euro.

The regional government informed RusBusinessNews that the Kurgan HPS-2 will consist of two units of the electric capacity 111 megawatt each and the heat capacity of 250 gigacalories per hour. Each unit will contain a 76 Mw General Electric gas turbine PG 6111FA, a 35 Mw Siemens steam cogeneration turbine SST-400 and a waste-heat boiler.
