New Urals Chopper for Sale in USA

The sales of the new Russian chopper Ural have just began in USA and Canada. The Irbit Motor Works (OJSC Uralmoto) has shipped its first batch of bikes with sidecars to the dealers.

The company informed RusBusinessNews that the Ural-T weighs 230 kilos, has a 40 bhp two cylinder engine and a four speed gearbox. The recommended price for the basic model in USA is 10,000 dollars.

This is the seventh Ural model for the international market. The Retro, Tourist, Patrol, Gear-Up, Wolf, and Sahara choppers sold internationally before at 11,500 to 14,000 US dollars. In the conditions of the crisis the dealers suggested to make the model cheaper by getting rid of several options. OJSC Uralmoto is planning to make about 2,000 of Ural-T bikes annually, 95% of them are going to be sold to customers abroad.
