Uralkali Shifts Date for Commissioning of New Production Facilities26.11.2009 — News THE PERM KRAI. JSC Uralkali has changed the schedule for the implementation of its investment program and the commissioning of new production facilities. The corporate press-centre informed RusBusinessNews that the investment portfolio was optimized due to the slow recovery of the global potassium market. Case analysis shows that the fundamental characteristics of the sector are still strong; however, it will take some time before the potassium demand rises to the pre-crisis level. Accordingly, the company found it wise to shift the commissioning of new facilities to 2012. According to the adjusted plan the volume of production capacities of the company in 2010 and 2011 will be 5.5 million tons per year, and 7 million tons in 2012. |
