Ugra Authorities Planning Increased Investments Into Regions Economy19.01.2010 — News UGRA. The government of Ugra, the key oil producing region of Russia, thinks that the oil prices in 2010 will stabilize at the level of 65 dollars per barrel. At the same time the production of oil in the region will remain at 270 million tons. If the global situation for oil improves a growth of gross regional product is possible by 3.6% compared to 2009, and 1.3% - to pre-crisis levels. Ugra government informed RusBusinessNews that investments into the region's economy grew by 4.3%. Aleksandr Filipenko, the Ugra Governor, has earlier stated that in 2009 the investments will amount to about 400 billion roubles having dropped by 17% compared to 2008. According to him during the crisis the industrial production index in the region dropped by 1.5%.
